Snug is a restored historical Boer Cottage
and is the ultimate romantic hide-away for
a couple. A natural spring rises on the property
and this pure water cascades down a furrow
next to ‘The Snug’ so that the
tinkling sound of water is a constant backdrop.
The thick stone walls enclose a cosy bedroom
with double bed and open fireplace leading
onto a compact kitchen and dining nook with
a fridge/freezer, electric frying pan and
microwave oven. The adjoining bathroom has
a Victorian bath. The furnishings are all
in keeping with the era.
The veranda overlooks a verdant vegetable
garden with trailing vines as well as the
nearby dam and the distant rolling hills.
Baskets of kindling and flowerpots all add
to the charm. Barbeque on the covered veranda
whilst enjoying the magnificent night sky
and the sounds of nature.
Halt is beautiful & Trevor & Sharon
are wonderful hosts. I will
definitely be back and recommend it with ease.“
